The diagrammatic representation of the product and process is done through class diagrams, logical diagrams, process-flow diagrams, conceptual diagrams, identification of the requirements, the entity relationship diagram and various other diagrams.

Marketing :

Identify potential for developing a particular Product and Projects. The BDM will identify the Team, which will be responsible for the Market research activity. The Team shall prepare a Questionnaire. The Team shall identify a list of primary and secondary sources for collecting information and for sending Questionnaires. The team shall collect all the filled Questionnaires and file them separately. The Information gathered from other sources shall be recorded separately in a Market Information Sheet. The MR Team shall submit the Market Information Sheet to the BDM on a periodical basis or as and when an opportunity is perceived.

Project Estimation :

Arriving at reasonable estimates of cost and effort in executing a project.

Project Initiation :

To formally initiate the project by Appointing GL and PL and also informing all concerned team members.

CSP :

This is to evaluate, store and maintain the products supplied by the client to use in a project.

Project Planning :

Defining a framework and guidelines for each activity of the project so as to ensure that the project shall be completed in the specified time, within the estimated effort and shall result in high quality deliverables.

Project Scheduling and Monitoring :

Providing a framework that enables the preparation of a reasonable estimate of resources and time to complete the development of a system. To monitor the progress of the development against the proposed plan.

Study of Requirements :

To Study and understand the Client's Business Requirements. To understand the Client's Objectives in building the system. To identify the requirements, which can be automated. To communicate the above understandings to the client and get their acceptance.

Functional Specification :

To depict how the system shall look from the End User's perspective, i.e. defining the various User Interfaces. To communicate the above understandings to the client and get their acceptance.

System Design (High Level Design) :

To transform the information obtained from the URS and FS into a Physical Data Model of the system that will be required for the successful development of the system.

Program Design (Low Level Design) :

To transform the high level design into detailed program specifications to aid programming and update the User Manual.

Test Cases Preparation :

To design test cases that have the highest likelihood of finding the most undiscovered errors in a program / system with the minimum amount of time and effort while testing. For invalid and unexpected as well as valid and expected input conditions that examines a program / system what it is NOT supposed to do as well as what it is supposed to do.

Programming :

To convert Program Specification into defect-free Source code.

Integration and System Testing :

To ensure that the system confirms to the integration of the modules as specified in the High-Level design document. To ensure that the system confirms to the functionality of the modules as specified in the functional specifications and thereby enable software release.

Client acceptance and Software Release :

To ensure acceptance from the client side for release of the software for live use. To release the latest version of the software for live use to the client.

User Training :

To equip the user to use the software independently and enable the user to appreciate the utility of the software. Implementation support This activity involves providing support to the user's for installation of the software at the user's site and training the user into the working methodology of the new system.

Project Closure :

To analyze the software process and the good practices followed in the project and the results of the project. To identify the shortcomings and the areas of improvement.
